We went to a pumpkin festival this weekend. Maya's been sick for a few days now so she wasn't really enjoying herself. Dug up some pics from about the same time last year. She was also sick. Coughing, throwing up, runny nose... So these pictures have the same glazed eyes, bleah expressions, but hey at least we took some pictures. Hopefully, she'll feel better soon.

Randomness
Part of being a toddler is doing random stuff. And part of being a parent is being able to catch these random moments. Daddy took these shots and they came out pretty good. Twirling a paper umbrella.
And still twirling.
Not sure how Ryu (Street Fighter character and dad's toy) ended up with Maya's stuff.
Maya thought he's got some anger issues.

Birthday parties
Fall birthday parties are fun. This is the second birthday party we've been to in two weeks. This time two little ones are celebrating their special day.
Practicing the birthday song as we paraded down our hallway.
Malia pushing Maya on the swing.
Art time for the kids.
She's the smallest of the group so she got to hit the pinata first...
Maya thought it was funny that one minute everyone's beating up the sun with a stick and next minute it's worn by crazy pinata man.
Mom found time to tie my shoe laces amidst the running around.
Cake time! Happy birthday Cole and Asha!

Dog and the snack
Charlie patiently and painfully watched as a Cheerio or a Gold Fish made it in the kid's mouth. Poor dog was drooling.
He quietly sat there until the little girl finally noticed him.
She took pity and offered him a Gold Fish.

Dollhouse
This has been her favorite toy for the past three days. She would spend a good two hours playing with this thing. I have to interupt for snack breaks.
This is the daddy. He's supposed to take care of the baby in the crib.
The daddy tried to escape through the window, while the mommy frantically juggled household chores...
But Maya quickly put him back to help with the baby and she helped the mommy prepare dinner.
