Telling Time

I've been asking my mom for a watch for a little while.  I told her I wanted a princess one or a Hello Kitty one.  We went to Target to see what they have.
Oh boy, they had Hello Kitty, Tinkerbell, and princess watches!  I was so excited and didn't want to let go of the Hello Kitty one. But then my mom showed me this Timex one.  I liked the colors and the minute hand has a flower chasing it. What convinced me to pick this one was...
...this Indiglo feature.  That was it.  I love anything that lights up.  Plus, it's water-resistant.  Perfect for messy adventures!
I like to wear it everywhere. I can only tell you the hour time for now.  I'll learn to read the minute time later.  My mom is the official time keeper of our family.  She would always tell me it's time for dinner, time for a shower, time to go to bed, blah, blah, blah. Now, I'm the one telling her what to do at what time.  Payback is...uh...very cool.

What do you think?

My daddy gave this card to my mommy for Mother's Day.
She kept it on our fridge door.  She looks really happy
to me, but something's "off".  Eh...it's probably just me.

A new friend

Her name is Maggie.  She's my sock puppet. My mom wanted
to put more stuff on her like a bow, a nose, ears, etc.
But I thought she's fine just the way she is.  Cute, huh?

How tall are you and where do you hide your money?

Only my daddy can make out what he scribbles on the doorjamb
everytime he measures my height.  Do you see the quarter I shoved in
the door lock thingy?  That's where I used to keep my loot.
Problem was it got stuck.  Oh well, I gotta find another spot
to put my money in. Any suggestions?

Blessed

Just a reminder how blessed we all are.

Skate 3

My daddy taught me how to play Skate 3, his favorite XBox game.
Within a few minutes, I knew how to do an ollie and a kick flip.  Rad!
My mom's unsure if this is a good idea or not...

Daddy's Day

Once there was a little boy named Jason.
He loved the outdoors.
He was also mischievous and gave his mommy headaches.
He had a bowl cut at some point.
Then he got a better haircut as he got older.
He grew up to a be dashing young chap and he turned out to be very funny.
He did a lot more growing up, met a girl, married her after dating
for 9 years, and after 5 years of marriage he found out out he
was going to be a daddy.
Only a funny guy would do this to an ultra sound to break the
news to his grandmother.
Then I was born.  I knew he would be my best friend the minute I saw him.
I mean the guy willingly wore a pink shirt on my first Christmas.
He took care of me no matter how tired he was.
He never ducked out of diaper duty during ungodly hours in
the morning.  My mom was very thankful for that.
We have a really fun time together.
Daddy, you're my favorite person in the whole world.
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!
I love you!!

Early Girl

I picked my very first tomato from our veggie garden.
She's from the Early Girl variety.  She's a beauty.

Buddies

Today after school, I visited my friends at my old daycare.
It's my buddy Joshua's last day.  He's going to pre-school.
Tres amigos. You see the fuzzy thing I'm holding?
That's Paris, the guinea pig.

************************
Here's a flashback.
He and I used to run a produce store.
We sang karaoke to our hearts' content.
Joshua: GIMMMMEEEE!!!  Me: UH-UH!!
I rode my horsey.  He rode his tiger.  We fought bad guys together.
Ah yes, nothing like a enjoyable time interrupted by unsolicited shower.

******************************
Those were the good ol' days.
Goodluck in preschool, Joshy!  I love you and I'll see you around!

Lounging

After a long day at school, I wind down by lounging outside in the backyard.
I listen to birds and feel the grass at my feet.
I have a bowl of strawberries and make sure the mystery
seeds I've collected are next to me.
I also insist on carrying this "thing" I wrapped as a present along with
my summer reading.
I got my flip-flops on standby in case I have the urge to run and grab a
handful of grass to spread over the adirondack chairs.
I tumble all around as my dog watches.
Enjoy the sunny days ahead!

Sleep

When I wasn't born yet, my parents slept soundly and nicely.  Then I was born,
sleep for them was...what sleep?  As I got older, it got a little better because I was
sleeping in my room.  Then I turned 2. That's when I decided that it would be a good
idea to get up at 2am and walk over to my parents room and sleep between them.
This puzzled them, but they let me anyway.  It started to get annoying because it
reminded them of the dark days when they had broken sleep or no sleep at all.
What's worse is they woke up every hour with various body parts shoved in their
ribs, nose, ears, or eyeballs.  Sometimes, a karate face smack might occur at 3am
and they really didn't like that.  We usually ended up in this formation:

I also tend to get hot so I always get out of the blanket and do this:
This leaves half of my parents' bodies exposed to the cold while I maintained
a nice body temperature because I'm still sandwiched between them.  They didn't
like that either.  Good new is, I am now back sleeping in my room!  Like I mean
straight through the night.  My parents are really happy about that, but once in a
while I hear them talking about how they miss getting kneed in the spine at 2:30am.

That's neat

One of my favorite things to eat for dinner is a bowl of rice, broccoli, and neatballs.
Neatballs, you ask? Why yes, I call meatballs, neatballs.  Before your brain start
jumping to conclusions, lemme esssplain this.
I was in the Bears class at my school for 2 year olds.  My teacher's name was
Ms. Natalie.  I called her Ms. Matalie. After that, I transitioned to the
Ladybugs class for 3 year olds. My teacher's name was Ms. Nellie.  I was having
a hard time saying words that start with M then followed by N.  So I kept calling her
Ms. Mellie. Okay, now boys and girls, keep repeating Ms. Mellie a bunch of
times...get it?  I'm sure she wasn't very pleased by it, but because she's nice,
she didn't say anything.  But my mom was so embarassed so we kept
practicing at home...to no success.  She then had a brilliant idea. She told me to
call my teacher Ns. Nellie.  So that's what I called her.  And now for some reason
I switch the M's and N's like neatballs and mapkins.  I'll eventually get it, but I guess it's
better than calling someone smelly.  Thank goodness, my new teacher's
name in the Frogs class is Ms. Maria.

Nature Explorer

I like to to explore the grounds of the Arboretum
My mom usually joins me on these adventures.
She let's me be the lead explorer and let's me decide where to go and stuff.
She's also my body guard.  For example, this duck hissed at me when I, apparently,
violated his personal space while he was preening himself.
My mom told be to back off slowly so we don't get attacked by a pissed off ducky.
She also cautious about me talking to squirrels. Who wants a squirrel
on their face anyway?  Not me. And to our surprise, we saw a wild rabbit
in the bushes that was challenging the squirrel.  That was cool.
Of course, during these adventures I have to figure out sources of water
so we don't pass out of thirst. I use my intuition and sense of smell to find water.
In this case, we actually found a water fountain...in the jungle.  Weird.
As a source of energy, we pack snacks like gummy fruit.  I eat this while we walk.
I hear critters in the bushes follow us as I eat.  I hold to the gummy fruit bag real tight.
After our adventure, I usually refuse to budge off a spot.
Like a lazy dog after a long walk, you know?
That means my personal porter would have to carry me
on and off until we get to our car.
