Halloween 2012

So it's Halloween.  Last month, I told my mom I wanted to be Merida from the movie Brave, then I changed my mind and wanted to be Rapunzel from the movie Tangled.  But last week, I told her I wanted to be a bat. Yes, a bat.
Then we saw the movie Hotel Transylvania again and now I wanted to be a bat AND the character Mavis.
So my mom put this ensemble together from my closet.  Add a cape and eyeliner...and voila! A Bat Mavis. I really get into character, too.
Yes, my cape makes me run faster and now I'm....
 ....here!
 Hey...
 You hungry?
Like really, really hungry?
I can make you something real quick.
 A giant meatball!
 Giant meatball for everyone!
  What?  You finished it already?
Well, here's another one!
You like that?  Cool.  I hope you have an enjoyable Halloween. Oh and be safe as well.
Here's a Mavis pumpkin my mom carved.  Oh yeah, Mavis is a girl vampire character.  That's why she has the teeth.  I just didn't have any.  Tsk, tsk, the things I ask her to do.  She almost skinned her fingers while skinning this pumpkin in layers.  Thanks, mom!

Family meal

It was Auntie Rowen's birthday.  The whole family met up at a restaurant and had a nice birthday lunch to celebrate her birthday.
 Lola and Lolo
 Cousin Leanne, me, and Lola
We sat in the middle of the restaurant on a looong table because there were so many of us.

Happy Birthday, Auntie Rowen!

Mud Run 2013

My parents ran a local Mud Run recently.  They ran through a dry river bed, climbed 10-foot fences, jumped through giant tires, stomped through a bunch of mud pits,
and sloshed through ice water.
They were pretty dirty when they got home.
Here's daddy washing mommy in the backyard.

Cause this is how they looked like when they crossed the finish line.
They still look pretty happy don't they? I don't get it.

Sleep Over Adventure and a Half Marathon

Kayla slept over this weekend.
Daddy and I watching "Adventure Time" on the couch the morning before Kayla showed up.
 Ta-daaah!  Here she is!
In our bathing suits in the jump house.
Playing dress up after we messed everything up.  Of course, I had to wear my mom's high heels. You know what's different about this sleep over?  Only my daddy was in charge over us crazy girls.  That's overnight with no mommies in sight.  Well...lola helped him for a couple of hours to give us a shower while daddy picked up pizza. But still, that's nuts.  Guess why he's the only one in charge?  Because the mommies ran the Long Beach Half Marathon and they stayed overnight there so they didn't have to drive early in the morning.
Here's mommy and auntie getting ready.
Waiting for their wave to go.  There were 11,200 people participating in the half marathon.  Then there's more people that did the marathon and 5k.  I think there might've been about 17,000+ people participating overall.  Lotsa crazy folks paying to go the distances.
 Here's mommy's medal.  It's pretty hefty.
Here's auntie completing her very first half marathon.  Congrats auntie!  Great job!
Now the mommies are taking the day off tomorrow from work to recover.  =)

Special thanks to my daddy for his tremendous patience with me and Kayla.
Boy, we had fun!
