The spaceship has landed

I like to grab all kinds of kitchen stuff and play with them.
When mommy can't find what she's looking for in the kitchen,
all she has to do is look in my room.

Farm Visit

We visited a farm this weekend.
I went with my mom and dad, lolo and lola, and my auntie and Kayla.
Uncle couldn't make it because he's currently in New Orleans
helping make sure the oil spill clean up is going okay.
Wish you were here, Uncle, but I know you have very imporant work to do.
Just waiting for the wagon ride.
As we rode the wagon, we stopped several times to sample the farm's products.
I couldn't believe how sweet this raw corn was.  Awesome goodness!
We also tried tomatoes, zucchini, string beans, squash, etc.
Nice tasting carrots, too.  Kayla and I roamed around the watermelon plots. I held my little cousin's hand to make sure she doesn't trip over anything.
Have you ever tried yellow watermelons?  Oh my goodness, they are sooo good!
Here's us waiting for some more samples. Mmmm...
I was about to show Kayla a stunt, but she's like "what are you doing?"
So I grabbed her hand and continued walking.  Sheesh...
Mommy was just sitting amidst the farm taking pics.
Then we piled back into the wagon with our watermelon picks.
We held on to our treasures and made sure they didn't roll.
After a long day of walking around, Kayla and I have our own porter to
carry us back to our cars.
It was a fun day!  We'll definitely be back.
Please visit and support your local farms.

Dentist

I went to my first official dental check-up.
The dentist checked my teeth and he said they looked good.
I was feeling very brave.  Then they cleaned my teeth with this round toothbrush.
After that, they gave me a princess toothbrush.  Sweet!

2010 School Carnival

Every year, my school has a carnival. Parents, kids, friends, and their teachers come.
This year's theme is treasure hunt and pirates. My  teachers were dressed as pirates.  Yar!
There were a bunch of games and stuff, but I like going on the climbers instead.
Of course, I had to get princess crown face paint. Of course.
Then back on the climbers with my friends.
There was a "real" pirate there, too.  He's kinda scary.
I bolted outta there after the picture was taken. Hahah!!

Do you like math?

Trapped in a multiplication table.  I guess that would be a nightmare for some people.

Cafe Ole

I've been looking for a property for awhile. I wanted a house, but I thought a purchase of a business would be smarter.  So I found this cafe for sale so I got put my bid in.  Within 5 days of escrow, I got the package, er, the keys.  I put my personal carpenter to work to set it up and voila! Expresso Cafe in business.  It's express service and I'm really fast.  I can serve you coffee, tea, cakes, whaterever you want in a snap.
After a long day of serving coffee and tea, I settle inside to rest. I live in there too to save rent.  I have a tea party with my baby friend while we listen to my radio.  I'm going to save all my earnings from this business and buy me one of these awesome tiny homes (see below).  Eco friendly, mortgage free, and it forces you to live with only the basic essentials in life. I like that.

Giants

Long, long time ago, before you and I were around, there were these giant mammals that roamed the earth.  Some are still around, but most of them are now extinct.  We went to the Natural History Museum to visit their Age of Mammals exhibit.
I saw this skeleton of a Fin Whale, a big fish really.  It'd be really inconvenient if one of those bones got stuck in your teeth, huh?  Then I saw this python skeleton.  I think these are still around in the Amazon somewhere or on Hollywood Blvd. hanging around an aspirng actor's neck posing for tourist pictures.
Now, these guys behind me have been extinct for awhile.  Poor guys.
I was thinking of taking this guy home so he won't be so lonely.  But no, I don't think I could fit this skull through my bedroom door.
They had a spider exhibit.  This one looked tough isn't it?  The handler, I mean.
It looked like Mr. Snuffleupagus to me.  It was really cuddly.
Then the highlight.  In the North American Mammal Hall, they had the Dinosaur Encounters.  We all sat on the floor and this lady talked to us about all things dinosaurs.  She was really good and kept our attention.  She taught us about coprolite. You know what that means?  Dinosaur poop.  Yes, people actually mine for these things and make carvings and jewelry with them. Now that's a brilliant idea, isn't it?...We have a big backyard and then you can just... You know what..then a dinosaur came out of the double doors!  Children screamed.  Adults said "whoa!" It was pretty impressive. It was walking, roaring, and sniffing kids' heads in the front row.  Good thing we sat two rows back. Then after the show, sounding really impressed, I said: "Daddy that was great!  That was a real dinosaur and it was wearing pants."

Lazy Afternoon

It's been kinda warm lately.  It's the kind were you want to turn on the a/c, but yet there's this delicious cool breeze blowing through the windows.  So we don't turn on the a/c.  This breeze makes us lazy and sleepy though. This afternoon my mom and I just piled on the couch after our usual chores after school and work.  We're barely talking.  Just lounging really.  She's reading her book.  I'm lying over some random toys and glancing at 'Little Einsteins" on low volume.  She twirls my hair through her fingers and once in a while plants a kiss on my head. I put my head against her shoulders or I put my hand over hers.  Just mommy and me time.  Then the breeze blows through the curtains again.  It's nice.
