There's a toddler somewhere in here.

Aloha!

Aloha! My parents and I went to Hawaii for a few days. It's my very first plane ride. My mom was well prepared and as always, she braced for the worst. She was determined for us to make it to Hawaii, not make those 5 hours a living hell for everyone, and not get kicked out of the plane. I actually did fine and I think she knew I'd be alright. But just in case my 2 year old self decided to go nutty in the confined space, she had secret stashes of toys and books that I've never seen before and she brought my favorite movies so I'd be entertained on the plane.

Watching Monsters Inc.
Here's me knocked out. That paci surely helped with the ear pain.

We hung out at the beach. The warm water was so nice. I didn't wanna leave.

I like to dig.

The sunsets are gorgeous.

I feel really bad. My mom and dad really wanted to hike Diamond Head, but I threw a tantrum at the base. See my mom's face on the picture? Boy, she sooo wanted to, but she knew better not to take me up there on a hot day. I guess that's the kind of sacrifice parents make when they have children. I promise I'll be good next time we come back so we can hike it together and also hike to Manoa Falls.

Shaved ice, so good!

Guess what I'm doing:

a) Hugging a tree because I'm a lil' tree hugger.

b) I'm nibbling at the palm tree trunk because I'm so hungry.

c) I'm hugging the tree for support because I'm pooping.

Answer: "A" and "C"

Yes, I am a pooping little tree hugger. I'm not kidding. See that face?
That's the face of relief. I didn't tell my mom that I needed to go to the bathroom because who would wanna miss the sunset? While pooping? Sheesh...

This is my friend. I love tiki masks.

Honolulu Zoo, rules! Such a cool place. I got to see all kinds of animals really up close. No not this one. This is just a statue of a baby elephant.

Coming out of the lizard exhibit. Don't I look like a little adventurer/explorer like Dora?

We also went to a luau. That was pretty cool because there were so many activities before dinner and the show. I liked it when they paraded the roasted pig around. Mmm...I ate it too. It was so good.

We seriously were in a party bus to and from the luau. Our guide, Pao, was crazy and so much fun. On the way back, the bus was a ruckus. We were flashing other buses with our cameras, doing a rave dance with cell phone lights, making Maori faces as other buses approached. There was lots of singing and everyone was laughing so hard. It was so funny. This was at 10:30pm Hawaii time and 1:30am Los Angeles time. So I was partying late with my parents. Hard. Later, I learned all the adults were acting like that because they had so much to drink like mai tais. I don't know what a mai tai is, I thought everyone was happy because they drank milk.

Sunset on our final day.

Goodbye and mahalo!

Waiting to board our plane back home. Til next time!

I'm a big gurl

My mom and dad decided it was time to retire my crib. I think I impressed them because when I had my crib they would either find me teetering on one of the ledges or the other time I actually made it on top of my dresser. That was neat, but boy was I scared 'cuz I didn't know how to get down. Luckily, my mom was calm about it and quietly asked if I needed help getting down. I said yes, please. She didn't show it, but I'm sure she almost had a heart attack when she saw me.
I like my big gurl bed because I can get on and off anytime I want.
My mom put this flower light up. I love it because I get to turn it on and off. Again, whenever I want! I also like these alien-looking lights. I like to sleep with either one next to me. They keep the bad monsters away.
