Dinner buddies

I like to take my buddies with me when I eat.

The more, the merrier.

Then I dump them all in a bowl for use later. They don't mind.

Winding down

At the end of a good day, Maya and I would pile on our bed with our books and magazines. We talk about how our day went and read our books until we can no longer see in the dark. Then we just sing lullabies until she drifts off to dreamland...

Wacky Wednesday

I forgot it was Wacky Wednesday at school.

I picked up my kid and her hair looked like this. Her clothes were also inside out. We had to go to Target , so I put her clothes back the normal way. Then she got really cranky when I tried to touch her hair. ("No touch hair, mommy!!).

So I left the hair the way it was and bribed her with gummy fruit snacks that resulted to a wacky blue tongue. Walking around Target, we got some weird looks and some people probably thought she had a wacky mom. That's alright. I think it's pretty cool to be wacky.

Happy Easter!

Today's Easter. After church, we had a yummy Easter lunch at Auntie Rowen's house.

After lunch, Leanne and I patiently waited for my older cousins to prepare the Easter eggs.

We sang "Old MacDonald" over and over again.

Then it was finally time for the egg hunt. Oh boy!

My older cousins also joined in. I think they were looking for the ones with C-A-S-H.

I went places in the yard where no kid (under 2) dared to venture. Mom was worried about me getting bug bites. No worries. The bugs were all friendly and did not bite me. AND I found lots of eggs! My cousins sure know how to hide them well.

Here's mommy, me, auntie, and Kayla. Kayla did very well too.

As you can see here, my mom was busy emptying out the eggs of candy while I was busy checking out Kayla's loot. Jacob's checking out what he got while his mommy looked on.

Oooh, she missed emptying one. Score! Reeses Peanut Butter Cups. Yummy!

Gardening and lemonade

Mommy and I got up early so we could do some yard work.

I got my gloves and shovel and helped dig up weeds and stuff.

After digging and raking, mommy and I hung out in the backyard to rest.

That's when we noticed we needed to harvest lemons from our lemon tree.

We got so many lemons that we decided make fresh lemonade. Just perfect to keep daddy refreshed as he cleaned up after our piles of weeds.
