Exploratorium

It was raining as we drove into San Francisco.
At first, we were all quiet and thought about  what we're gonna do on a soggy day in Frisco.  We had planned on taking a scenic hike/walk from Fisherman's Warf to theGolden Gate Bridge.  What to do, what to do...  Ah, how about the Exploratorium?!
Sure thing!  So daddy, who was wearing summer clothes (shorts and a t-shirt), changed to pants and layered his clothes for the chilly weather.  He did this in the back of our car and almost rolled out of the door into the street.  He's funny, that guy.
So we went in and whoa! So many things to see and learn and do.  Here's a giant magnifying glass.
A terrarium with lots of organisms in it.
A GIANT bubble maker. I personally wanted to take this one home.
 Warped mirrors.
Various reflections and refractions of lights and colors.
 Color mixing.
 Optical illusions.
A daddy sitting on a couch.
 Microscopes to look into.
 Tiny centipedes.
 More terrariums to observe.
 How a hurricane forms.
There's really a bunch of stuff to see.  Anything you can imagine involving mechanical, chemical, physical, weird, interesting, inventions, cycle of life, evolutions, etc....it's here. I saw a real brain and passed by a demonstration where they were dissecting a cow's eye. It's like the Louvre of science activities.  You can be here all day and may not be able to go through each and every exhibit or activity.  Also, there's a bunch of families here too. I guess that's what a lot of San Franciscans do when it's raining.
